Director – Christy Groschke

christy-g-bio_picChristy Groschke is a former Cy-Springs High School graduate where she began her passion for drill team. After high school, she attended Oklahoma State University and then Texas State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in dance. Christy maintains certification for secondary education in Dance, English, and Physical Education.

Upon graduating from college, Christy had the honor of working with her former drill team director at her alma mater Cypress Springs High School for two years. She then was the assistant director for the Cypress Falls Sky Dancers. After working in Cy-Fair ISD drill team for four years, Christy is very excited about being given the opportunity to be the director of the Cypress Creek Silverados and maintaining their standard of excellence. It is an honor and a privilege to be named the new director of the Silvies!

Christy is a firm believer that enthusiasm and excitement for dance are contagious, and every day she hopes to reflect that upon her students. Her goal in coming to Cy-Creek would be to preserve the traditions and high standards the Silvies already have, while making it a smooth transition for the students, parents and school.
